CHECKWEIGHERS
Are you looking for a checkweigher? Then Laurijsen WeegAutomaten is the right place for you. Our checkweighers accurately and quickly check your products for weight. If the product does not have the correct weight, it will be removed from the production line and placed in a collection bin. With a checkweigher from LWA, you are guaranteed products with the correct weight.
How does a checkweigher work?
A checkweigher is equipped with a conveyor belt that transports the products to the input side and the weighing section. There, the products are checked for weight. You set the weight criteria in advance, and when the products meet these criteria, they are transported further. The weight criteria often consist of a target weight or minimum and maximum weight. If the product does not meet the weight criteria, it is removed from the product flow. This product is collected in a collection tray. See also the video below for how a checkweigher works.
5 reasons for a checkweigher
Why do you need a checkweigher? See below for the five most important reasons to buy a checkweigher.
1. Weighing the actual weight of 100% of the output from the production line.
With a checkweigher, 100% of daily production can be monitored with optimal precision. Rejected products (overweight or underweight) are ejected, preventing items or components from being missing. If testing is done manually (even if this is legally permitted), only a minimum percentage of products can be guaranteed to be approved.
2. Save on product costs and avoid giveaways
A checkweigher not only checks for underweight packages, but also for overweight packages. This allows for real-time adjustments to the production line, eliminating giveaways and significantly reducing costs. All in all, the price of a checkweigher is fully recouped within just a few months.
3. Protect customers and distributors
For your distributors and end consumers, the sale of underweight products poses a threat to your company’s reputation. By weighing 100% of your production, you can prevent legal action being taken against your company.
4. Comply with international and EU regulations
The regulations of the International Bureau and the European Union determine the legally required checks and weighing processes for pre-packaged products. All Nemesis systems are 100% MID and OIML R-51 certified.
5. Measure and report on the efficiency of the entire production line
The integrated software of Nemesis checkweighers records all data from the weighed products and automatically generates reports and analyses on the efficiency of the entire production line and process quality.
