MULTIHEAD WEIGHER

Are you looking for a multihead weigher? Then LWA’s multihead weighers might be a good option! These types of weighers are very fast and extremely accurate. To help you determine whether a multihead weigher is the right weighing machine for you, we would first like to explain a little about the machine.

How does a multihead weigher work?

When the product enters the machine, it is transported by vibrating chutes to the storage bins. From the storage bin, the product is poured into the weighing bin. In the weighing bin, the product is weighed, with approximately a quarter of the set weight ending up in each weighing bin. The multihead weigher then creates the best possible combination. Once the combination is known, it is discharged into a hopper. From the hopper, the product is transported to the packaging machine.

The multiheads are available in many different versions, making them suitable for many types of products. The principle of the multiheads is the same for all different types; the choice depends on the product. Please feel free to contact us for more information. There is also a multihead set up in our showroom where you can run a test.

Options

In addition to the different types of weighers, there are also various options available for the multihead:

  • 6WL or 15DP profiled contact parts;
  • Collection tray under the weigher for smooth transfer to the packaging machine;
  • Chutes at an angle for very sticky products;
  • U-shaped chutes for small target weights;
  • 60° angle for sticky products such as lettuce.
